Bethabara(1887)

English Baptist, Alfred Street, Williamstown

There is a curiouslty about the early years of this cause inasmuch that it does not appear to have been an officially recognised Baptist church and does not appear in neither contempory denominational records and neither featured in the 1910 Royal Commission Reports. It is possible that it commenced as a branch of a church outside of my points of reference.

Bethabara's longest serving pastor was one William Jones. However this was a shared ministry with Bethany, Blaenclydach.
    Bethabara ceased to be a recognised Baptist church around 2018. The building still holds services but as a '3D church'. Maybe someone can enlighten me as to what that means.
