With the increase in attendance services transferred to a schoolon the Parade and acquired three cottages, at a cost of ₤700, where their future home would be built.
The cost of the new chapel is not known. However in 1910 a new vestry and schoolroom was errected at the rear of the chapel at a cost of ₤1,500.
There is a most interesting tale told in the history that during The Depression the church was 'adopted' by the church at Tumbridge Wells.
The church's longest serving minster was Keith Phillips. A real 'pillar' of the community also being a local councillor and magistrate and it was during his tenure that the Porth church also became a member of The United Reformed Church.
The church held its final service in May, 2016 and whilst the chapel still stands to this day it is not clear as to what use is made of it.
