Capel Y Parc was a 'Daughter' of Bethlehem, Treorchy. I believe that its name originates due to its association with Parc pit and its owner David Davies with initial meetings held at private dwellings, farm houses and stables.

Although its cost is not quoted, the source document states that the church was free of debt by the time it was opened. The initial membership consisted of some 50 persons. This peaked at the time of The Revival.
The church's longest serving minister was William Lewis who was shepherd for some 35 years. Later it was common to see The Rhondda's Methodist churches share the services of their ministers and one of these was Gosen in Treorchy. These were very differnt in nature with Capel Y Parc being described as a 'village community church' whereas Gosen was a 'rich' town church.
The church appears to have existed up to 2017 with the chapel being jointly shared with Salem. I recall that the chapel was subsequently put up for sale and as of 2022 was still en situ.
