The schoolroom/vestry, at the left, was built in the late 1870's at the time of extensive repairs to the main chapel. At around the same time, a Sunday school-room was built ( at Jones Terrace (as at 1957) ) near the Ynysfeio Colliery. This was named 'Bethel'. (The MGCS documents confuse these two buildings)
