(7). Schedules

Again, there are a certain number of mistakes in the schedules both of the Church of England and the Nonconformists which have been ascertained, in fact, and such considerations as those to which we have referred obviously lessen the statistical value of the totals. But taking all these matters into consideration which go to lessen the statistical accuracy of the Church and Nonconformist tables, yet we have no reason to doubt the general accuracy of the figures given. The Church and Nonconformist statistics alike seem to us the work of men possessed of an honest desire to tell the truth. The lists must be read, of course, subject to the just criticisms above referred to, but we regard them as fairly accurate.
